Our Approach to anxiety
Having provided specialist entrance test tuition for over 13 years, we know what works and our tutors are all extensively trained to ensure that they achieve the best results.
Young children may be aware that things are changing (either within themselves or their immediate environment) and often can not articulate how they are feeling. They are particularly sensitive to others’ emotions and react as best they can with the limited level of emotional development they have reached.
That is why, in line with the best practices suggested by latest pedagogical reviews, we converse with our students regularly to be certain that they are able to express any anxiety they might be feeling by suggesting that this is a normal feeling. We also have safeguarding policies in place to ensure that we note any changes in our students’ behaviours, such as becoming quiet or withdrawn.
